Costumes - 50s

We first used a Pinterest page to bring together inspirations and references for the 50s era style.

We want the male to be a 'greaser', as this is iconic of the 50s, and is also an inter-textual reference to Grease and characters like Danny Zuko.

This costume consists of a leather jacket, a white t-shirt, black trousers and black shoes.

The hair style is slicked back, with a curl in the middle of the forehead.

For the girl, we want to reference Grease again, with the dress like the ones that Sandy and the other girls wear - fitted to the waist then wider from then down.

We have decided that the make-up will be similar to the picture on the left - matt red lips, with winged eyeliner. For the hair style, we want an up-do with a red bandana.
